The book is published!

Yay!  The book, "Poverty Prepping: How to stock up for tomorrow when you can't afford to eat today" is up on Amazon today!  Here's the link:

Be sure and read my prepper fiction books too:

I have five fiction book and more in the works!  They're fun and entertaining to read, while showing how to get through possible disaster scenarios.  They're family-friendly, in that I don't put in a lot of guns and violence and military stuff in my books.

On the "poverty" or low-income and low-budget note, here's a place where you can download free books that relate to preparedness.  Some are fiction and some are helpful how-to's.  There is no scam and no push to buy products, it's just a list of free downloads put together daily by a lady named Pam, who sifts through the amazon daily downloads looking for ones that fit this subject.

Here's where to find them: http://pamspriderecommendations.blogspot.com/2012/04/free-kindle-downloads-44_05.html

Happy reading, everyone!  Please be sure to leave comments, questions, and suggestions.  My settings are open so anyone can post on here in the comments section under each post.

If you have a post and/or pictures you'd like to add to this blog, please email them to me and I'll post them.

  2. I couldn't get the links to work at first, and now they're fixed. I had left a comment about the links not working, and now I deleted that comment since they now work.

  3. Thanks for the shout out for my blog Susan! I really enjoy your books! Poverty Prepping hits home for me as a stay at home mom with 6 kids it seems like there is never any extra room in the budget for stocking up! It is refreshing to hear from someone who has been there done that and is still doing it on a budget that is probably tighter than mine. It gives me hope that I too can do it! It gets so overwhelming when I see or hear about other preppers that have boxes and boxes of freeze dried food stored up and I can barely buy an extra bag of rice some weeks!

  4. I just purchased your book on Amazon. I started reading it, then couldn't put it down! Thank you. You took a daunting task then broke it down into can do steps. I have been wanting to start an emergency supply plan, we have harsh winters on Lake Ontario, but so much of the information on it is overwhelming. Your book gave me a new confidence and reminded me to trust my own common sense.

  5. Suzanne, you've made my day, because that's exactly what I hoped to do... make it something real people without much money can use as a guide to get started! None of this is 'theory' for me. It's real life!

  6. Susan, Is there any other way to get a copy of this book, as I do not have a Kindle. I really want to read this book, with the way the economy and the US is heading we have been reading and prepping as much as we can, but it just does not seem like enough. I have started a homestead, getting ready for chickens (the coop was made all from recycled materials)and gardening.

    1. You don't have to have a kindle to buy Kindle books. It's possible to get them as "Kindle for PC", or to set up a Cloud Reader account, which is free to set up. It's like having an email account with yahoo or hotmail, only you can have kindle books sent to it. You can store them into your cloud account, and from there you can download them to your computer. It sounds hard but it isn't.

I'm more than happy to answer questions about how to do that. Jan, if you want to email me I'll see if I can help you. povertyprepping@yahoo.com
